All noise is generated in your browser using the Web Audio API. No audio files are downloaded. Pink noise uses the Paul Kellet refined filter; brown noise uses a leaky integrator on white noise.
How it works
Each noise type has a distinct character. White noise contains all frequencies at equal intensity, like the static hiss of a TV. Pink noise gently reduces higher frequencies, producing a more balanced, natural sound — similar to steady rainfall. Brown noise goes even deeper, emphasizing low frequencies for a rich, rumbling tone like distant thunder.
You can play any combination of noise types at the same time and control the overall level with the master volume slider. The audio engine is lightweight, so it won't slow down your browser.
